The foundation of the Museum of Memory for Historical Justice arose from the concepts developed during academic studies and research programs shaped around the concepts of historical justice and memory studies. Developed based on these concepts, framework and preliminary studies, this digital project then became a research of the Research Institute on Turkey Collective Memory Working Group in the summer of 2020.  Memory Museum for Historical Justice has been implemented by a team created specifically for this research since January 2021. The team consists of experts working in the fields of memory studies, archive and documentation, law and oral history.
